May in Connemara

I was remembering a weekend I spent with my poet friend Monica Corish and friends near Leenane in Connemara last May. The weather was wonderful - mostly sunny with dramatic clouds - and the landscape is wild and mountainous. But I realised I could never live there because there just aren't enough trees. Beautiful to visit though. So I dug out a few of the photos I took there.
